Want to breathe life into the bedroom but don’t know how? These women have made changes to their bedrooms by just purchasing inexpensive Ikea furniture and upcycling it into something more beautiful. Read on to find out how they did it!
1. Tarva dresser into a mid-century inspired dresser
Kristina Lynne painted the brown Tarva dresser completely white and changed the black knobs to beautiful gold ones. The wooden base was stained darker to complete the mid-century look.
2. Personalized Pax wardrobe system
Jen Ramos blinged up her Pax wardrobe from Ikea by adding BERGSBO doors and gold hardware, making the plain, white wardrobe look high end with a minor change. She also lined her drawers with patterned wallpaper for a hipper look.
3. Replacing the knobs of Ikea’s shoe drawer
Dana Miller replaced the knobs of Ikea’s Stӓll shoe drawer with her DIY leather pulls cut from a belt. While the new Stӓll shoe drawer comes with notched handles now, leather pulls can replace most knobs.
4. Two Ikea Rast dressers into a full wardrobe
Ursula DIY-ed her own wardrobe by using two Ikea Rast dressers, some melamine boards and power tools. You go girl! #DontNeedNoMan

Kitty Cotten wanted to give her sister a beautiful vanity but the bedroom was small so they fashioned one out of Ikea’s Ekby Alex shelf instead! They just needed to add a stool and a mirror and they were good to go.
6. Nordli dresser as a cozy reading nook
You can finally get the reading nook you always wanted without renovating the house! Get a Nordli dresser from Ikea and customize a long cushion for sitting. Add some pillows and voila, the nook is ready!
