If there’s one piece of design we take for granted, it’s definitely the door. We use them multiple times a day, never giving them a moments notice. They give us privacy, security, and a big piece of wood or glass to push. If someone asked you how a door could be improved, what would you say?
For one designer, the answer was that he would reinvent this everyday object.
Who knew there was room for innovation in the design of a door?
It’s a gorgeous piece of form and function that uses an origami like design to reinvent the way we open a door. This door would be space-saving as well as aesthetically pleasing.
Torggler has designed a few different variations of this design. A simpler version just swivels without any origami folds.
