There’s a familiar phrase that goes ‘Everything you need is already within you.’ Well, in this case, everything you need for a cleaner house is already in your house (or the shops!). Cleaning tools don’t need to be elaborate. As long as it does its job well with minimal effort, you’ve got a good thing.
Here are 5 super handy cleaning tools that you should get for your home:
1. Microfiber cloth
A microfiber cloth is one of the best inventions ever! The cloth will not scratch any surfaces when you clean so you don’t have to worry about damaging your household items. It’s good for wiping windows and just about any surface. It can even be used to wipe your spectacles, sunglasses and phone screens.
2. Swivel sweepers
The swivel sweeper makes last minute cleaning fast and efficient. For best results, attach a dry floor wipe to the sweeper to pick up dust and hair from the floor and weird corners. Next, put on a wet floor wipe to ‘mop’ up the remaining dust. These wipes can be bought from stores such as Daiso. The swivel sweeper handle can also be adjusted so it can be used by anyone.
3. Nylon-bristle broom
When compared to our old penyapu, nylon-bristles are hardier and it doesn’t shed much if it’s of good quality.
These rubbery cloths are great for buffing counters and furniture. Its super absorbent feature makes it great for absorbing large spills with minimal mess. It can also pick up hair and dust when it’s damped.
5. Cordless vacuum cleaner
Most cordless vacuum cleaners can be taken apart into a smaller, handheld vacuum that’s handy for cleaning tight areas such as in between beds and the nightstand. However, that’s not the super quality in highlight. The highlight is that it’s cordless, meaning homeowners are no longer bound by the length of the wire! There’s also no need to buy vacuum cleaner bags. Just tip the container over to clear the dirt and wash the filter sponge occasionally.
