We all been there, movie nights for the family can often be a trying time as well as a relaxing one. But who says it can’t be an adventurous one? Why break away from the conventional and try out an outdoor movie night?
Here’s how you can build your own backyard movie theater. All you need are just a few basic supplies and you can be the hero of your family.
Items And Directions:
– Staple Gun & Staples
– White Blackout Fabric
– Two 10′ 2×4 planks or any long poles
Staple white fabric to one 2×4, leaving a few inches of board exposed at the top. Then staple the other end of the fabric to second 2×4 or pole.
Attach anchoring ropes: Hand-screw two eye hooks into either side of the top of each 2×4 or poles, then tie ropes (each at least 15′ long) to hooks.
With the help of a friend, stand one 2×4 up in a bucket and pour in gravel so 2×4 will stand upright. Repeat with second 2×4 and bucket.
Stretch fabric taut by moving the two buckets away from each other. To stabilize the screen, pull ropes out at an angle and tie to tent stakes, then push stakes into the ground. And you’re done!
