YØ DEZEEN manages to tame the wild and capture what the modern human wants and needs, blending it all into a peaceful compromise that just works. This design company thoughtfully and tastefully melded the organic and concrete into a luxuriously detailed apartment, while staying true to the core and roots of both concepts.
Extremely attractive and well-balanced, the apartment is separated into two floors – Downstairs is kitchen and entertaining, and upstairs is rest and relaxation. Both lead to the outdoor terrace where a well-equipped entertainment suite awaits. Natural colors and materials are abundant here while honoring balance. Deep greens, bronzes, olives, and coffees are certainly the right choices of color, as it doesn’t take much to transport you and your tensions away. Note wooden textures that consistently stretch across the flooring and even onto the walls in some areas, matching the wooden paneled ceiling and contrasting the light stone embellishments on the walls. Nature’s beauty takes two forms in the domestic and wild – strategically placed potted plants and well-kept greenery give you that home-in-the-city feel while the unique minimalistic lighting, staircase, window shutters, and geometric metal framework that is heavily present throughout the house resembles jungle moss, trees, and vinery. Furniture is uniform in concept as all as close to the floor as possible, and elevation if there, is minimal.
