The lighting also serves to further create this great illusion by projecting a perfecting design on the walls. Contrast is very important and wonderfully implemented. Whether as simply as the light green pillows among the browns and bronzes or the placement of dark tones on light like the darker walls that double as cupboards against the lighter flooring. Two large carpets of contrasting shades bring it all together nicely, staying within the main color scheme yet standing out simultaneously.
The stairway frame and other legged furniture are kept to an absolute minimum, as if to blend into the picture and seem naturally there. Enormous windows that span entire walls bring in natural light, and are appreciated in how terribly understated they are—it’s that wonderful window-less look.
Avoiding the closed-off feel common to most city abodes, the bedroom is sectioned off by chic glass partitions, illuminated by encased LED lights and proudly hiding double walk-in closets for the fashion-conscious power couple.
Finally, the terrace that truly elevates luxury treats us to a spacious lounge with a slat ceiling that opens and closes. Outside, the open sky greets us where the swimming pool is, complete with a metal frame, poolside chairs and wall-crawling ivy. Green marble walls stand perfectly dressed for the occasion. Keeping in line with the theme, the pool looks naturally formed yet man-made at the same time.
