Fabian Tan Architect
Fabian Tan graduated with Honours from the University of South Australia in 1997 with a Bachelor of Architecture. Over the next 11 years, he worked at architectural firms in Kuala Lumpur and Melbourne on various projects including residential, institutional, commercial, and interior designs.
During this time, he also explored art, furniture design, and installations, which inspired him to start his own firm, Fabian Tan Architect, in 2012. The firm has since completed several award-winning houses featured in Asia and Europe.
Fabian’s architectural approach focuses on evolution and flexibility. He believes that design should adapt to the site and that a space's essence comes from its elements like light, materials, and volume. In today’s complex world, he values simplicity and refinement to create subtly beautiful buildings.
