Tucked away into a lush site along the Caribbean coastline of the Yucatan Peninsula, Casa Aviv is a modern, private home that’s situated in Tulum, Mexico.
This beautiful house blends in with the jungle and it’s located just a stone’s throw from the beach. And if you ever get tired of the beach, head over to the nearby crystal clear cenotes—the area’s famed natural pools.
Measuring 330 square metres, Casa Aviv is designed and built by CO-LAB Design as a rental holiday home for people who want to be surrounded by nature.

Exterior Area:
The house is made of two parallel volumes, with one being single storey while the other is double-storey. It faces the east-west direction to take advantage of the natural air for cross-ventilation.
Skylights face the north, allowing the spaces of the home to be filled with natural light which creates subtle shadows throughout the home.
Layout:
In total, the house has four en-suite bathrooms, a private pool and a roof terrace that offers unimpeded 360° views. The kitchen, dining and living areas are open plan and the entire house has high ceilings that make the interiors look very spacious and roomy.
You’ll find the living, dining, kitchen on the ground floor. The living area, which has double-volume ceilings extend into the pool and garden via the pivoting glass doors.
There are also two bedrooms on the ground floor which open out to the garden, allowing guests to have direct access to them. One of them, which is the master bedroom opens up to a private patio that leads to the pool. Another two bedrooms are located on the first floor and are connected by a bridge under a bright skylight.
Overall, the house has a very modern tropical villa ambience using colours such as black, grey and cream used with handmade finishes for a special touch. The design team custom-designed all the furnishings and light features that are aesthetically pleasing yet low maintenance.
