Project: Filtered Light House
Designer: CRS Sdn Bhd
Location: Johor, Malaysia
Exterior Area:
At first glance, the house is fitted with a layer of perforated panel which acts like a barrier and privacy screening for the occupants. A patio is created in front of the living room, while the main door is at the side. With this, the main sliding door can be opened at all times to allow maximum air ventilation across the rooms.
Interior Area:
For the living area, a comfy 3 seater sofa is fitted, along with minimalistic tv panel. The room is then connected to the dining area which features a 6 seater solid wood dining table. A small quartz stone kitchen island is also attached, for the couples to prepare their daily meals.
Below the staircase, a concrete bench can be seen along the walls, to house friends during gathering or casual visits. Fine vertical timber panels are used to provide aesthetics features to the staircase, while unity the overall design of the house.
At the upper level, the master bedroom is designed with modern cabinetry to provide functionality, while providing earthy design tone to create an ultimate cosy and relaxing haven. The downlight played a major part in enhancing the entire look and feel of the room.
The family room is also converted to a walking in wardrobe to provide extra space for storage. Natural sunlight can be seen shining through top hung window above.
The overall tone of the design is kept minimal which focus on natural lighting. A mixture of white, timber and concrete is brought together to complete the simplicity tone of this house design.
