Creating a new home can be a daunting process but this home, An Binh Apartment, was designed for a newlywed couple who has an active and modern lifestyle is sure to induce house envy. It’s a simple and elegant home that focuses on using minimal, light colours and it’s located in Vietnam. The apartment has a floor area of 120 square meters, providing ample space for the architects to design an impressive home.
Interior Layout:
The apartment consists of a living room, dining room, kitchen, one bathroom and three bedrooms originally. However, one of the bedrooms was converted and the house has only two bedrooms. The architects were inspired by Muji-style design, which boasts a harmonious, light concept that is very aesthetically pleasing. White and wooden brown was chosen as the main colour theme with light neutral colours to complement the decor.
Interior Design:
The design is focused on bringing more natural light into the home with large windows at the living and dining area. Although the home is very open plan; the function of each house area is clear since the architects decided to use different floor cladding. The house has parquet floors almost everywhere but for the kitchen and foyer; white tiles were used to differentiate its function.
One of the most genius features in this home is the concrete partition that separates the living room and dining area. Since it doesn’t extend through the whole area, the space still looks spacious. In addition, the partition serves as a place for the TV cabinet and shelves, making it a space-saving option. The bay window seat is perfect for days when you want to sit back and enjoy a book or admire the view outside. Most of the furniture is made of wood and has a very natural, rustic feel.
