It’s easy for us to throw our stuff around especially in the bedroom when the only thing you feel like doing is just to relax on your comfy bed. However, this method is bad because soon, your bedroom will be a messy pigsty and you won’t feel very happy being inside. So, here’s how to make sure that you keep your bedroom a neat and clutter-free space.
1. Use Organisers
Your drawers are great spaces to keep your things organised but sometimes, you just need a little help so that the things inside don’t become a jumbled mess. Use different types of organisers for different users so that your compartments will be neat.
2. Multi-purpose Headboard
If you have a lot of things in your bedroom then you definitely want to maximise all the space you can get. Your headboard is one the best spaces as you can make it fully functional with some cubbyholes and shelves so that you can organise all your items.
3. Use Under Bed Storage
It’s important to take full advantage of the resources you have and this includes the space in your bedroom as well. Your bedroom can only be clean and neat if there is a space for everything. You can create more spaces to store your stuff by utilising the space under the bed as well.
4. Handy Baskets
Keep your bedroom neat and tidy with some convenient deep baskets to corral your things in one place. This is a great idea especially if you have many throw pillows or extra blankets lying around.
5. Use Hooks
It is very tempting to just drop your worn clothes on the floor while waiting for washing day or even to drape it over a chair in your room. This will just make your room look even more messy and will encourage dust to gather. Instead, fix some hooks behind your door so that you can hang your clothes up neatly.
6. Get Rid of Unnecessary Things
It is common knowledge that a messy room does not make for a peaceful space so this should be motivation enough to clear your room. Just devote 15 minutes a day to put things back where they belong in your room or better yet, throw out any unnecessary things that you don’t need anymore.
